Teamcenter Programming for Siemens PLM – Built Around How You Work
Standard Teamcenter rarely fits your processes out of the box. Engineers click through screens that don’t match their workflow, product data sits disconnected from NX and ERP, and every release cycle risks breaking the customizations you depend on. Teamcenter programming closes that gap – extending the platform to your rules, your data model, and your toolchain.
At inteliScience, we develop Teamcenter customizations the way they should be built: upgrade-safe, documented, and maintainable. Our EU-based engineers work across the full stack – server-side ITK, SOA services, Rich Client, and Active Workspace – so your PLM does exactly what your business needs, without turning into a black box only one person understands.
What We Develop
Every project starts from a concrete gap between standard Teamcenter and how your teams actually work. Common starting points include:
- ITK & Server-Side Customization – custom utilities, batch programs, and server exits in C/C++ (ITK) that extend Teamcenter’s core behavior through supported, upgrade-safe hooks.
- SOA & Service Development – custom SOA services and REST/OData endpoints that expose Teamcenter data to other systems and power your own clients.
- Rich Client (RAC) Customization – tailored Java-based Rich Client commands, panels, and dialogs that match how your engineers really work.
- Active Workspace Customization – custom Active Workspace views, tiles, and commands on the modern web client for a faster, cleaner user experience.
- Integrations – reliable connections between Teamcenter and NX, SAP/ERP, MES, and office tools, so data flows without manual re-entry.
- Automation & Migration Utilities – scripted data loads, bulk updates, and migration tools that move you onto Teamcenter cleanly and repeatably.
Our Teamcenter Stack
Full-stack Teamcenter development across the technologies your platform runs on.
Upgrade-Safe by Design
Custom code is only valuable if it survives the next Teamcenter release. We build on Siemens’ supported extension points – ITK exits, SOA, and Active Workspace configuration – instead of unsupported hacks that break on upgrade. Everything is documented and version-controlled, so your customizations stay maintainable long after the first deployment, whether by us or by your own team.
Nearshore Teamcenter Engineering
We’re an EU-based nearshore partner. Senior Teamcenter engineers, employed by inteliScience and working on your project at day rates – just one hour ahead of your DACH teams, with no long-term bench overhead and clear, direct communication from kickoff to handover.
Standard Teamcenter stops where your processes begin. Let's close the gap.

Almost every layer: the data model (via BMIDE), server-side behavior (ITK exits and custom utilities), business logic and services (SOA/REST), and both clients – the Rich Client (RAC) and Active Workspace. If standard Teamcenter doesn’t match a process, it can usually be extended to fit.
Yes – when it’s built the right way. We only use Siemens’ supported extension points (ITK exits, SOA services, Active Workspace configuration), never unsupported hacks. Everything is documented and version-controlled, so upgrades stay predictable instead of breaking your customizations.
It depends on where the gap is. Server-side logic and batch processing point to ITK; exposing data or driving other systems points to SOA/REST; a better day-to-day experience for engineers points to Rich Client or Active Workspace. Most real projects combine several, and we pick the right layer for each requirement.
Yes. Integrations are core to our work – connecting Teamcenter with NX, SAP/ERP, MES, and office tools so product data flows automatically instead of being re-entered by hand.
Absolutely. Most engagements begin with one concrete pain point – a single utility, a custom command, or one integration. You see working results quickly and we scale from there. As an EU-based nearshore partner, we staff on demand, so there’s no large fixed team to commit to up front.
